New Resources
The Tool Overview provides an overview of all tools in the Transition Makers Toolbox so far, including whether it’s meant for individual or group use, if it’s done in a single session or multiple sessions, and the duration of the activity.
The Tool Timeline outlines in which of Tuckman’s stages of group development each tool can be applied to foster collaboration in group projects.
In Practice: Teacher Story
In the new UvA Honours module Connect! Storytelling as a Social Intervention, students analyse real-world cases and learn to use storytelling as a social intervention to tackle societal issues in Amsterdam. Developed by Bianca de Groot and Arjen Barel, the course combines theory with practical tools such as Deep Listening and Experiencing Interdisciplinarity to enhance understanding and collaboration.

Inner Development Conversation Starters
The Inner Development Conversation Starters enhance self-awareness and personal growth, empowering individuals to drive meaningful societal change. Each of the 46 cards features a thought-provoking prompt to encourage deep reflection and dialogue. Originally designed for higher education, this deck is a powerful tool as well for coaches, team leaders, HR professionals, corporate trainers and individuals in personal contexts.
Meet the Transition Makers
Creating a safe, inclusive learning space within Society-Based Education gives students room to connect, listen and interact without holding back, as they are introduced to their future knowledge domain, learn to apply scientific knowledge and engage and collaborate with others.
Our tool, Enabling Co-Creation, helps students develop the skills to engage diverse stakeholders, build trust and foster a collaborative environment.
Anke Swanenberg & Hanna Eppink

As Einstein wisely said, ‘We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.’
Socially Inclusive Research invites you to explore the idea that others are just as complex and extraordinary as you are. Knowing nobody can be reduced to a single aspect of their identity and that society is a tug-of-war of privilege and power, you will emerge with a more inclusive and curious mindset.
