To help you gear up for your upcoming courses, we invite you to the free workshop Unlocking the potential of the Toolbox for your education on 30 August from 10 AM - 12 PM in Utrecht. Don’t miss it!
Below, you’ll get some updates from us on the card deck we developed, how you can have easy access to the Toolbox on your phone and a save-the-date for an after-breakfast session in Stockholm in October. Enjoy!
Introducing the Transition Makers Cards
This card deck features thought-provoking questions, such as "Can you give an example of a time when you've learned from someone with a different background than you?". These questions aren't your usual small talk – they encourage to reflect on inner development, personal values and experiences with overcoming setbacks. Whether you're aiming to spark self-awareness in students or kick off conversations at a networking event, these questions do the job.

Meet the Transition Makers
With a background in the intersection of science, art and bodywork (yoga, somatic coaching and physical theatre training), I work with body awareness in my research and teaching in arts and science. I use techniques from different forms of bodywork to help students become aware of what makes them and their body specific, how this situates them in the world and how this enables specific forms of research and knowledge.
Inside-Outside Presence trains students to be aware of their body and their surroundings at the same time, which is particularly useful in interviews or fieldwork, patient interactions, lab experiments, presentations and classrooms where fostering connections between peers is crucial.

I have experience in mutual learning, multi-stakeholder partnerships, sustainability transitions and governance, both working inside and outside academia as well as in the interface of science and practice. Currently, I am an action researcher at the NWO project ‘Stepping Out’, which refers to the stepping out of disciplines by professionals to integrate perspectives with other professionals through joint learning.
Shared Problem Definition is a role-play tool that helps students to integrate various perspectives by stepping out of their comfort zone and into an expert role.
